Uncle Kenneth always said that when he died he was going to come back as a cat.
No one knows why he picked a cat because he hated cats and wouldn’t ever let the kids have one.
One afternoon, after Uncle Kenneth died, Aunt Chrys was upstairs in her house sorting through some things.
She’d left the screen door cracked and as she was sitting there a cat came in through the screen and up the stairs, where he sat down in her lap and started purring.
She’d never seen this cat before and had no idea where he’d come from.
He sat there for a while and then jumped down and went back out the door.
She looked around the neighborhood for him but couldn’t find him. She talked to her neighbors but none of them had ever seen this cat.
They never saw him again.
It’s believed that Uncle Kenneth did come back as a cat to sit and purr in Aunt Chrys’s lap.
Another cat showed up at the house in Gulf Breeze, stayed for a while and then disappeared again.
Uncle Kenneth, back one more time to see his family?
